SELEUKID KINGS; Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.92 gm; 25 mm). Sardes, circa 282-281. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ Zeus seated left on high-backed throne, holding, on his right hand, Nike stretching right to crown him, and a scepter in his left; in field to left N, monogram below throne. HGC 9, 16a. Miller & Hoover 21-30 (A1/P5); SC 3.2. WSM 1351. Fine style. Struck in high relief. Lightly toned. Choice Superb "Almost as Struck". Great example.
