TABERISTAN, Umar ibn A'la, Year 126. AR Hemidrachm (1.93 gm; 24 mm). Obverse, Sasanian style bust turning right, name "Umar" in Kufic (Arabic) in front of face, phrase APD on the second quarter, NWYK or NWKY in Pahlavi on the 3rd quarter, reverse, mint Tpwrstan (Tabaristan) on the right, year 126 on the left. Choice FDC. Lightly toned with some luster.
