Diademed bust of Phraates left, wearing tiara; behind, pellet-in-crescent above anchor with two crossbars / Diademed head left. Cf. Vanít Haaff Type 14.8.1-1. Extremely rare - one of only three known and the only example that is clearly billon as opposed to bronze. Short flan crack at 10 h. Very fine.
Van't Haaff identifies all of the various types depicting the king wearing a tiara decorated with a pellet-in-crescent. While there are many small denomination issues, there are only two tetradrachms recorded, and both visually appear to be bronze.
