Lot 378.  Tiberius. A.D. 14-37. Æ as (27 mm, 9.95 g, 11 h). Rome, A.D. 20/1. [TI C]AESAR DIVI F AVGVSTVS IMP [VII], bare head of Tiberius left / PONTIF MAXIM TRIBVN POTEST XXII around large S C. Cf. RIC 41 (r4), noting an example in Oxford, but with a slightly different obv. legend. Brown patina. Nearly fine. Very rare.

The obverse legend here, if read correctly, is not recorded in RIC. The legend should read TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS IMP VII but is here missing the letters AVG.
