Lot 615.  Divus Augustus. Died A.D. 14. Æ dupondius (25 mm, 13.38 g, 6 h). Rome, under Caligula, A.D. 37-41. DIVVS·AVGVSTVS, radiate head of Divus Augustus left; across fields, S-C / CONSENSV·SENAT·EQ·ORDIN·P·Q·R·, Augustus seated left on sella curulis, holding branch. RIC 56; BMC 88-91. Well struck on a nice compact flan. Nice original green-reddish patina. Nearly Extremely fine.
