| | Lot 234. A superb Chimu phytomorphic vessel from Peru, c. 1100 – 1450 AD. This fine multi-chambered blackware example depicts a group of four conjoined pepinos. Highly burnished, in excellent condition, with good mineral deposits. Cf. “Arqueologia Andina Peru”, page 234, for similar example from the Museo de America in Madrid. Ex Bradford Gallery.
