Lot 3.  SICILY. Syracuse. Deinomenid Tyranny. 485-466 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23mm - 16.64 g). Struck circa 480-475 BC. Charioteer driving walking quadriga right, holding kentron in right hand, reins with left; Nike flying above crowning horses / Head of Arethusa right, wearing a pearl diadem, surrounded by four dolphins swimming clockwise. Boehringer 148 (V65/R102); SNG ANS 41-42 (same obverse die); Randazzo 313-315 (same dies). VF, lightly toned, a little rough.
