Geta. As Caesar, A.D. 198-209. Æ as (23 mm, 5.70 g, 12 h). Gallic imitation copying Rome, ca. A.D. 205. GETA CAES PONT COS, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta right / FELICITAS SAECVLI, S C across field, Septimius Severus, Caracalla, and Geta seated right on high platform on left; to right, officer standing left; at foot of platform, citizen standing left. For prototype, cf. RIC 126. Very rare. Dark green patina, light cleaning marks. Very fine / fine.

Many known examples of this type are imitative, all struck on think flans and thus very light. The type is quite rare, and the imitations are more common than the official issues.
