Roman Republic - L. Papius serratus silver denarius, 79 B.C. Rome mint (3,93 grs. 19 mm.). Rome, 79 B.C. Griffin to right. Head of Juno Sospita right, wearing goat's skin; tanner's knife behind as control symbol. Griffin springing right; scraper below as control symbol mark. L. PAPI in exergue. Crawford 384/1 (symbols 76); Sydenham 773 (2); Papia B.1 3,93 grs. 19 mm. Good very fine condition. Beautiful toning. Scarce coin!
