ROMAN EMPIRE. Hadrian. 117-138 AD. Sestertius (24.44 gm; 30 mm). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 134-138. HADRIANUS AVG COS III PP Laureate head right / Spes advancing left, holding flower and raising hem of skirt, S C Across field. RIC II 790; Banti 745. Well struck on a nice flan. Minor smoothing and some tooling on the field. Original green-brown patina. Choice EF.
