Faustina I the Elder, struck under Antoninus Pius City/Region: Rome Denomination: AR Denarius Composition: Silver Date: circa 141-161 AD, Issue 3. Obverse: DIVA FAV-STINA, Bust of Faustina I, draped, right, hair elaborately waved and coiled, with bands across the head, drawn up at the back and piled in a round coil on top. Reverse: AVGV-STA, Throne, draped and ornamented, on which is a wreath: against it rests transverse sceptre pointing up right. 18 mm, 3.32 gm.
