MESOPOTAMIA, Carrhae. Macrinus. AD. 217-218. BI Tetradrachm (12.92 gm; 25 mm). Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Macrinus right. Reverse: Eagle standing facing, head right, holding wreath in beak; in upper left field, star; between legs, crescent; in exergue, two pellets. Prieur 836. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. A few small reddish deposits. Sharply struck and lustrous. Mint State.
