SYRIA, Antioch. Gordian III. 238-244 AD. AR Tetradrachm (11.84 gm; 28 mm). Antioch mint, 242 AD. Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, wings spread, holding wreath in beak; below, ram with head left running right. McAlee 880; Prieur 301. Sharply struck on a nice broad flan. Choice Superb EF "Almost as Struck". Lustrous.
