Syria, Seleucis and Pieria. Apameia. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Late 1st century B.C. Æ (18 mm, 6.11 g, 12 h). S.E. 286 (30/29 B.C.). Turreted, veiled and draped bust of Tyche right / [Α]ΠΑΜΕΩ[Ν] ΤΗΣ ΙΕΡΑΣ ΚΑΙ ΑΣΥΛΟΥ, Athena standing facing, head left, holding Nike and spear, shield resting against her legs; in inner left field, Seleukid era date (ςΠΣ). RPC 4365; HGC 10, 1436. Black patina with orange-earthen deposits. Very fine.
