Claudius. A.D. 41-54. Æ as (29 mm, 11.44 g, 6 h). Rome, A.D. 42/3. TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP P P, bare head of Claudius left / S C across field, Minerva standing right, wielding spear and holding forth shield. RIC 116; BMC 206-7; BN 233-5. Reddish-brown and black patina. Very fine.
