Septimius Severus. A.D. 193-211. AR denarius (19 mm, 2.45 g, 6 h). Rome, A.D. 207. SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head of Septimius Severus right / AFRICA, Africa reclining left against rock, holding scorpion and cornucopiae; at her feet, modius containing grain ears. RIC 254; BMC 310; RSC 31. Light toning and a hint of surface granularity. Nice very fine.
