HERACLIUS. 610-641. Æ 12 Nummi (19mm - 6.85 g). Alexandria mint. Struck 618-628. Crowned facing bust (Khusro II?); star to left, crescent right / Large IB, cross potent on globe between; ALEZ in exergue. DOC II 191; SB 855. Nice VF, choice flan. Unusually nice for this issue.
Struck during the Sasanian occupation of Egypt and pays tribute to Khusro II with the Persian style facing bust.
