KINGS of THRACE; Lysimachos. 323-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.87 gm; 29 mm). Chios, before 235 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great right, wearing horn of Ammon / Athena enthroned left, holding Nike and resting left elbow on shield, spear resting to her right; ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to right, ΛΥΣΙΜΑΞΟΥ crowned by Nike to left, club in outer left field, monogram in inner field, bowcase and monogram in exergue. HGC 7, 555; Meydancikkale 2668; SNG Berry 451. Fine style. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. Choice Superb. Lightly toned with some luster.
