PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT, Ptolemy VIII Euergetes II (Physcon). 145-116 BC. Æ (22.90 gm; 30 mm). Alexandria mint. Diademed head of Zeus-Ammon to right / ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟY ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ, two eagles with closed wings standing to left on thunderbolt; cornucopiae in left field. Svoronos 1424B (joint reign of Ptolemy VI and VIII); Faucher & Lorber Series 7C; SNG Copenhagen 308-10 (joint reign of Ptolemy VI and Ptolemy VIII). Nice brown reddish patina. Choice aEF.
