SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird I, 399-420 AD. Æ (2.12 gm; 18 mm). Overstrike on a Roman host coin, obverse, Yazdgird's portrait turning right letters "..ZDKRT" for Yazdgird's name, fire altar and attendatns mixed in ghosting over the original image of the Roman coin. Brown patina. Choice VF. Extremely rare and valuable as all overstrike coins of Sasanian era are.
