Mustachioed male head right; behind, grain ear (not evident); before, two trefoils / Horse with cabled mane right; above, pelta with tricorne; below, lozenge with concave sides and pellet at each corner. The head and grain ear of the obverse are borrowed from the Roman denarii of L. Roscius Fabatus (Crawford 412/1), which were also extensively imitated in Central Europe on coins of the Eravisci, a highly cultured Celtic tribal group inhabiting Transdanubia who used Roman Republican denarii as prototypes for their own coins.
