Lot 609.  Octavian. Autumn 30-Summer 29 B.C. AR denarius (18 mm, 4.06 g, 7 h). Italian mint, possibly Rome. Laureate head of Apollo right / IMP CAESAR, Octavian, as city founder, brandishing whip and plowing right with yoked oxen. RIC I 272; RSC 117; BMC 638-40; BN 92-6. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Lightly toned. Extremely fine.
