Lot 452.  India, Kausambi city state (Vatsa). Ca. 2nd Century B.C. Æ coin (12 mm, 1.26 g). Bull advancing left; 4-armed Ujjain symbol above / Wheel (chakra) in centre, with Brahmi legend Kosabiya arranged clockwise around. Pieper 978; HGC 12, 945. Kausambi coins with the city's name are hard to find. This specimen has the complete name Kosabiya visible. Very rare and choice.
