Lot 119.  SASANIAN KINGS. Varhran (Bahram) V. AD. 420-438. PB (Lead) Unit (3.72 gm; 18 mm). obverse, crowned bust turning right, symbol known as Cadeceus (from Indo-European mythology symbol of mother earth and common in Hebrew iconography for protection from death) or Taurus (known in ancient mystery school and hermitic religion practices as "eye of illumination" and "divine connection") in front of bust. reverse early type of Bahram V with crescent on the right side of the altar and no figure in fire altar. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Choice EF. Nice original find patina. Extremely rare.
