Lot 126.  SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird II, (438-457 AD). AR Drachm (4.22 gm; 30 mm). Sunrise 931var. Standard issue for obverse and reverse, on the obverse, countermark of letter "H"? on the first quarter, on the reverse mint mark "AW" (Ahwaz) on the right. Extremely rare with such countermark. Choice Superb EF. Lightly toned with some luster.
