Macedonia, Akanthos. Ca. 424-390 B.C. AR tetradrachm (27 mm, 17.49 g, 7 h). Bull, with head lowered, kneeling to left, being attacked by lion leaping on to its back; in exergue, fish left / AKA-NΘ-IO-N, Quadripartite square within incuse square border. Cf. Desneux 97 (D-/R87, rev. die not recorded); cf. SNG ANS 12. Perfect centering and lightly toned. NGC AU, strike: 5/5, surface: 4/5. Fine style.
