POST-SELJUK, Khwarizm Shahs, 'Ala al-Din Muhammad II, AH 596-617 (AD 1200-1220). AR double dirham (5.32 gm; 25 mm). Balad Ghazna mint. Dated AH 618! (A year after his death). Album type 1714. An unpublished and historically important specimen with the new date AH 618. The dies were most likely cut before his death in AH 617 to be used for the upcoming year of his reign. Choice aEF. Toned.
