Description
NORWAY. Lot of Two AR Medals featuring Norwegian writers. Lot includes two medals featuring portraits of Henrik Ibsen and Bjornstjerne Bjornson. The obverses of these medals were originally designed by Ivar Throndsen, though no medals were struck at the time. The reverse of these medals show a very ornate scene of Cleobius and Bito pulling Cydippe who is seated in a chariot, Nike flies above. Medals shows no issue marks. Struck in .925 silver these medals have a combined weight of 225.5 grams contains 6.7 oz. silver. Both as issued. Two (2) medals in lot.
