ISLANDS off THRACE. Thasos. Circa 148-90/80 BC. AR Tetradrachm (34mm - 16.26 g). Wreathed head of Dionysos right / Nude Herakles standing facing, head left, holding club and lion's skin; monogram left. SNG Copenhagen 1046 (same obverse die); Le Rider Thasos, 51. Nice VF. Interesting obverse die with no hair showing on Dionysos' head, just an unusually high number of leaves.
