Description
CORINTHIA. Corinth. Circa 405-345 BC. AR Stater (21mm - 8.63 g). Pegasos flying right / Helmeted head of Athena left; statue of Zeus holding long scepter and thunderbolt behind, DRI in small letters above helmet. Pegasi I 187; BCD -; Ravel 730 (same dies). Good VF, lightly toned.
Interestingly, none of the standard references mention the small letters above Athena's helmet which are quite clear on this specimen.
