Mysia, Pergamum. Commodus. A.D. 177-192. Æ (32 mm, 18.12 g, 6 h). Homonoia with Ephesus. P. Apion, magistrate. AV KAI M AV-PH KOM[OΔOC], laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus right; in right field, c/m: head of Caracalla right within circular incuse / ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΠЄ-ΡΓΑΜ-Η[ΝΩ]Ν Κ ЄΦЄC around, ЄΠΙ CΤΡ Π ΑΙ/ΠΙΟV in two lines in exergue, Asklepios standing facing, head right, leaning on serpent-entwined staff, facing cult statue of Artemis Ephesia; to right of Asklepios' feet, small omphalos. Franke & Nollé type III, 1512-9 (Vs. A/R3); SNG BN 2183 (same obv. die); Howgego 70. Tan and black patina. Nearly very fine.
