India, Erich city state. Ca. 2nd century B.C. Æ unit (21.5 mm, 4.51 g). 5 punches: Brahmi legend Erikacha, horse standing left with one foot raised, srivatsa, tree-in-railing and 4-orbed Ujjain symbol / Blank. Not listed in Pieper; M.L. Gupta, Erich an Ancient City on River Betwa, no. 43. Very rare.

Erikachha, an ancient city in central India, produced an interesting series of coins in copper and lead using different production methods. For instance, this is a punchmarked coin, while others in the series are die struck or cast.
