Description
KINGS of PARTHIA. Vardanes I. Circa AD 38-46. AR Tetradrachm (13.78 gm; 28 mm). Seleukeia on the Tigris mint. Dated 355 SE = AD. 43. (month off flan). Diademed bust left, wart on forehead / Vardanes seated right, receiving palm from Tyche standing left, holding cornucopia. Sellwood 64.21; cf. Shore 350-351; Sunrise 413. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Well centered. Choice Good VF. Lightly toned.
