Description
SASANIAN KINGS. Zamasp, 496-498/9 AD. Æ (0.63 gm; 11 mm). Obverse, Zamasp bust turning right, Ahuramazda passing the Xvarrah to Zamasp, standard text behind the head however illegible, reverse, fire altar with attendants in prayer mode, mint seems to be either "GO/GW" or "S". Choice EF. Nice brown patina. Extremely rare in any condition.
