Description
SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgird III, 632-651 AD. Æ Chalkoi (1.55 gm; 16mm x 14mm). Obverse, Yazdgird bust turning right with winged crown, name in front of face, reverse, fire altar with attendants, date and mint not legible. All Sasanian Æs cut in square or rectangular form are considered extremely rare. Choice EF. Nice original reddish and green patina.
