MESOPOTAMIA, Singara. Gordian III, with Tranquillina. AD 238-244. Æ (23.44 gm; 30 mm). Confronted busts of Gordian, laureate, draped, and cuirassed, and Tranquillina, draped / Tyche seated left on rocks, holding grain ears; above, Sagittarius leaping left, discharging bow; river-god below. BMC 8-11; SNG Copenhagen 256. Well struck on a nice flan. Brown reddish patina. Choice Good VF.
