Description
ROMAN EMPIRE. Domitian. 81-96 AD. AR Denarius (3.31 gm; 18 mm). Struck in Rome, 95/96 AD. IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P XI, laureate head right / IMP XXI COS XVII CENS P P P, Minerva standing right on capital of rostral column, holding spear and shield; owl to the right. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. RIC 788; RSC 293. Couple of minor hairline scratches (hardly visible), otherwise well struck. Choice EF.
