BYZANTINE EMPIRE. Anastasius I, (AD. 491-518). Æ follis (18.08 gm; 38 mm). Struck 512-517, Constantinople mint. Obv. diademed draped bust to right, around DN ANASTA SIVS AVC, rev. M over mintmark, CON, Officina E, stars either side cross above M. Sear 19; DOC 23j.1; BMC 18-29. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Choice VF. Original patina.
