Description
SASANIAN EMPIRE, Ca. 2nd-3rd. Century AD. Large Agate Seal (7.28 gm; 28mm x 20mm x5mm). A portrait of (most likely) a Christian/Coptic dignitary or priest, with star and crescent on both sides of the head, Egyptian symbol of "Ankh" and "Faravahar" combined, crosses on the clothing and around the necklace. Excellent condition. Intact. Extremely rare.
