SELEUKID EMPIRE, Alexander I Balas, 150-145 BC. AR drachm (3.11 gm; 17 mm). Antioch on the Orontes, dated SE 165 = 148/7 BC. Diademed head to right / Apollo seated to left on omphalos, testing arrow and resting hand on grounded bow; ΒAΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to right, ΘΕΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤΟΥ to left, date in eergue. Cf. SC 1785.1e. Small test cut on the edge, otherwise well struck. Choice VF.
