SASANIAN KINGS. Valkash, (484-488 AD). AR drachm (4.01 gm; 27 mm). Standard issue, reverse, mint "AS" (Aspahan, Aspanvar, Asuristan), no date. Crowned bust of Valkash turning right with shoulder flame within a standard double ring, reverse, fire altar with attendants in standard prayer type. SNS type Ib/1b; Göbl type I/1; Paruck 368; Saeedi 255; Sunrise 954var. A bit rusty dies, otherwise Choice EF.
