TABERISTAN. Jarir, (779-782 AD). AR Hemidrachm (2.05 gm; 24 mm). Obverse, sasanian style bust turning right, name Jarir in Kufic in front of face, phrase APD on the second quarter, and phrase “ARS” (Ar(u)s? Meaning Stunning?) or Arun(?)-per Pakzadian) on the 3rd quarter, SULAYMAN (IBN MUSA). Choice FDC. Fully lustrous. Scarce.
