Description
SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Philip I, AD. 244-249. Billon Tetradrachm (12.59 gm; 27 mm). Struck AD. 248-249. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind / S C Eagle with spread wings standing left, holding wreath in beak. McAlee 935; Prieur 444. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. Choice Superb "As Struck" with some luster.
