Description
ARAB-SASANIAN. Bishapur "Daray" Gopatshah series. Æ (0.78 gm; 19 mm). Arab-Sasanian, Bishapur "Daray" series also attributed to be found first in Qasr-i Abu nasr in Persis province, obverse, bearded face, with Halo, to the right phrase "D(a)l(a)y or Daray, to the left, GDH and Apzut formula, reverse, Gopatshah to the right with Sasanian style crown, three dots behind the crown with phrase, Abad Bishapur to the left. Always an extremely rare coin given the conditions. Choice EF. Original find patina.
