AR Dirhem (2.88 gm; 22 mm). mint Basra, year 165, obverse, shahadah for Allah and Prophet Mohamad reverse, text" Al Khalifah Mahdi, mama amr-e be Musa Valiahd (Name of future Khalif Al Hadi as succssesor) al Muslemin, followed by Arabic/Kufic letter ". The letter "Saad" corresponds to the Bara's governor's name "Salih ibn Dawood". Extremely rare in this condition. Choice Superb EF. Toned.
