ACHAEMENID EMPIRE. Time of Xerxes II-Artaxerxes II. Circa 5th-4th Centuries BC. Gold Daric (8.34 gm; 16 mm). Persian king or hero in kneeling-running position right, wearing kidaris (crown) with four points and kandys (royal robe), holding transverse spear with round rear terminal in right hand and bow in left; quiver over shoulder / Rectangular incuse punch. Carradice Type IIIb B; Sunrise 28. Well struck on a full flan. Choice EF.
