Arab-Sasanian: Governor 'Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad, AH 54-63 (AD 673-683), Silver AR Dirham (Drachm), AH63 Dated, Mint: Basrah. Obverse: Bust to right, the full name of the governor in Pahlavi legend. "bism allah", meaning in the name of God on the margin with other additional legends. Reverse: The usual Sasanian reverse with a fire alter in the centre with two attendants on both sides, Pahlavi legends for date (left) and mint (right). (4.02gm, 33mm) Extremely Fine.
