Description
ROMAN EMPIRE; Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AR Antoninianus (4.62 gm; 23 mm). Struck 238-239 AD, Rome mint. Obv: IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / Reverse: PAX AVGVSTI Pax standing left, holding sceptre and branch. RIC 3. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Fine style. Choice AU. Lightly toned.
