PTOLEMY of EGYPT; Ptolemy XI, 114-88 BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.61 gm; 25 mm). Alexandria. Obv: Diademed head right. Rev: ΠTOΛEMAIOY BAΣIΛEΩΣ. Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, head right; monograms in left and right field. BMC 29. Well struck on nice broad flan. Perfectly centered. Choice Superb EF. Nice original find patina. Ex. Jonathan Kern collection, purchased 1972. Comes with the old tag. Lovely example for this late issue.
