SASANIAN or ARAB-SASANIAN, with phrase "APD". Æ Pashiz (0.57 gm; 17 mm). Obv: Sasanian style bust turning right, Pahlavi or imitation letters of "YZ(?)DT" (Yazdgird) in front of face phrase "APD" at 3 o'clock and second quarter, reverse, fire altar with attendants, no mint or date. Typically Yazdgird III Pashizes do not have the phrase APD on them, thus making this exceptional. Choice EF. Red patina.
